Hello, my name is Sheleen and I am a counsellor and psychotherapist. The therapy practice is based in Pelsall, which is located near Walsall in the West Midlands. The practice is close to Walsall and easily accessible for areas within Staffordshire and the West Midlands.
As a counsellor and psychotherapist I offer private therapy sessions for adults on a long, medium or short-term basis. I am committed to providing counselling and psychotherapy in a safe, welcoming, confidential and non-judgemental environment, with the aim of enabling you to enhance your life and to live it more fully.
If you are unsure about counselling or psychotherapy and would like to discuss it, I am happy for you to call me. It can feel rather daunting taking that first step and sometimes a phonecall can help ease some of the anxiety.
People seek out therapy for a number of reasons. Sometimes life can feel like it is getting on top of you and there can be times when you feel lost, alone and like nobody understands you. Maybe you have been struggling for some time and have reached a point in your life where you want to address the challenges you are facing? Could you benefit from a place to take some time-out?
Whatever may be the cause of your distress, counselling and psychotherapy can help you to understand and work through painful and overwhelming issues with a compassionate, trained professional.
I have experience in working with clients who have experienced difficulties with :
You may be wondering what counselling and psychotherapy are or how counselling and psychotherapy can help you?
Counselling and psychotherapy involve talking to a trained professional about your thoughts, feelings and behaviours, and no issue is too small or too big to be explored and worked through together in counselling and psychotherapy.
As a therapist, I offer you a time and place that is safe and comfortable, and where you will not be judged. Some of the areas that you may want to explore together could be ways to help you make sense of your difficulties, understanding yourself better, help resolve complicated thoughts, feelings and behaviours, find ways to live with difficult feelings and thoughts and help you recognise unhelpful patterns in the way you think or act and explore ways to change them (if you want to).
The therapy space and our therapeutic relationship provide an opportunity to face things that may be challenging for you. At times things can seem to big or too scary to explore on your own, this is where counselling can offer the opportunity to face these things with another person. Together, we will work towards achieving what you are looking for.
